Post-Op Activities with Friends
So far, I've gone thrift shopping with a friend when I've needed clothes for a specifi****asion. Shopping isn't something I've ever enjoyed, but it's nice that I -can- shop with a friend now because I can actually shop where my friends shop.
Plus, after years of having to wear things that fit, not because they looked good, I don't trust my sense of fashion/style at all. So having someone with me to reassure me that something looks good on me has been a boon.
For sure! I love the fact that I can shop anywhere. I'm not to the point yet where I like the way I look in clothes, but I'll be there soon.
I had dinner with friends last night and I still enjoyed their company very much! I will also enjoy my leftovers for lunch today. :) Maybe I'm too recent as I'm almost six weeks but I have still hung out with my friends while they were eating and drinking and I haven't suffered. I was a bridemaid in a wedding two weeks ago and I had the time of my life dancing all night!! I also didn't have a hangover the next morning which was great!
I know everyone is different, but it isn't a problem for me yet. I like all the idea on here!!
Things I do now with friends that don't involve eating/drinking are....
attending basketball and football games, plays & musicals, church, painting classes, yoga, going to our downtown farmers market (yes its open year round & technically it involves food), shopping & museums.
It's just not a problem for me anymore even when there's food around. I can't eat very much now and I'm fine to go out to dinner with friends and have a few bites of appetizer and maybe 1 glass of wine, (they always out eat and way out drink me)! We laugh about what a "light weight" I am now! It's all good! I found out I was really there for the company anyway!
Other things we do...
Go ziplining, Go to the dog park, do the art gallery, shop, take in a movie
