Two weeks ago I had my VSG Surgery. I have lost 30.6 pounds as of today, 10 of that Post-Op. But I am excited too about the following NSV's.

-My belt has moved over three notches.

--My 25-year Wedding Anniversary Ring fits on my right ring finger again.

-I went to the movies yesterday, and popcorn has always been my delight at the movies. My husband ordered some for himself, but I was perfectly content sipping on my bottle of water.

I am so thankful to have had this surgery!

Kay :-)

now i'm a little depressed. i had my surgery THREE weeks ago, and i'm only down 30 pounds, and i had a higher starting weight! i'm wondering what you're doing differently. are you walking a whole lot? i'm trying, but i haven't hit 10,000 steps in a day yet.

Oh, please don't be depressed. First, don't compare yourself to anyone...everyone's body is different. Secondly, the main point of my post was the NSV's (Non-Scale Victories), start a journal writing those down, it will encourage you. Also, 20 of my pounds lost were Pre-op. I am not exercising yet, can't do the gym yet, and it has been pouring rain here. I haven't hit my 10,000 steps either.

well, thank you, but it is a bit concerning. i'm really eating so very little, walking, and haven't shown much loss in the last week. and i start back at work next week, so i feel a bit like this is a big week to have some success! just trying to figure it out a bit. but thank you for your words of encouragement. :)

(side note: wondering why my widget doesn't show on my signature. thought i'd selected it, but it's never there!)

This is a great post! Congrats! I'm out a similar amount of time and just crossing my legs already feels like such a win and difference. Wishing you continued success and happiness!

I just realized the other day that I was sitting with my legs crossed!   I was so excited!!   Can also walk up and down the stairs the proper way, not one step at a time!!

Congratulations!  I have definitely seen success on the scale as well as in my clothes.  I even went "thrift shopping" today to buy some "NOW" clothes.  I plan on doing mostly thrift shopping until I lose most of my weight.  It's still a little difficult for me to be in places where I enjoyed my "favorite" foods but I'm proud of you.
