It does. I can chugalug liquid like before, even though my stomach holds less. It took me quite a while to feel like I could take a real gulp though, like months. It may have been just psychological because I was worried I'd ruin something in my new stomach. Now, I gulp - it just seems to satiate better and  is less tedious for getting my liquids in.

Thank god for that.........This sip sip thing is the most limp wristed thing I have ever done, atleast for this long.  lol.  I love to take a swig when I tip.  Can't wiat.  Thanks.  EW

I am so lucky . I have never had to really sip . My cousin is about four months further out than me & still has to sip . I can chug . lol . It's too bad your wife couldn't stay longer . SF is a great place . Your regular GP should be able to handle ordering your labs & such . My cousin quit going to her bariatric doctor early on . Her GP was fine with taking over her bariatric care . I wouldn't suggest that for everyone , but sometimes you don't have a choice . It sounds like you really made an informed choice . You are doing fantastic . I'm really happy for you & your family .
