Does ANYONE take DSHS?

I have been looking for weeks now and the only place I have found that takes Medical ID Coupons from DSHS is the University of Washington, and they ONLY do Gastric Bypass. I am trying to find a doctor who does Lap-Band. Anyone have any info? I tried calling the DSHS office and the office that handles the medical coupons and they were clueless. Thanks, Jessie

I dont think DSHS will pay for a lap-band. I was told only bypass. If you know otherwise please let me know. I went thru Dr. David Lauter for my consult and such. It was a year ago and at the time he took DSHS. That was a year ago and I was denied.

I have done extensive research. I Have DSHS Open medicaid coupon. There are only 3 hospitals that dshs approves right now. Uof w Spokane specialties and a place in Oregon. I do not know if dshs approves lapband. I am hoping more hospitals will open up now that it is easier to get approved on dshs as of Jan 1
