Hi there! Aquarobics are certain exercises down in water. I go to the League swimming pool in MD. They have a class every times a week where we do exercises working on the legs, butt, arms, sides. Most of the classes are frequented by people (like myself) who can not walk miles, have difficulty with their joints, etc. We've found that doing exercises in the water are much easier on us and our joints. It really is fun. Maybe you should check it out. Later....hang in there.

Hi, Vickie, God, wouldn't that be great to have your own pool! I love to swim and do water aerobics but it's so hard to get to the pool some days (especially here in the Chicago area when it's cold and snowy outside). It is the best exercise for me-it keeps me more limber and helps me to at least maintain my weight. Without it I think I would be in a a wheelchair. Connie

Hi there! I am 359 lbs and I have three bathing suits. No I don't like the way I look in a suit but I love the water. My doc recommended the water arobics to be because I could not do any other exercise. Knee problems, back problems...you know the deal. Well I enjoy going to the league and having my 2 or 3 times a week work out. It's a chore, but I know that I need to do something. I haven't had my surgery yet, but as soon as the doc gives me the ok, I will be back to it. You'd be surprised how many other women feel uncomfortable out being in a suit, but hey it's your choice. I love being in the water.

Water Aerobics is really awesome. I was so selfconscious at 414 pounds but I knew I had to do it for me. Now 8 months later, I am down 116 pounds as of today. I am under 300lb for the first time in over 20 years. I know the water aerobics made the difference. Eating right is not enough. I wish there was someone I could pass along two bathing suits to that are just too big now. Happy Water to you all. Ann in TX 414/298/140

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies: First of all---you are beautiful on the outside as well as the inside. I teach water aroebics and what I has worked for me and I suggest this to my class members that I wear capri leggings or the ones that stop above the knees under my suit. Make sure there is spandex (the more spandex the better) in them because the clorine wears out the fabric after a while. I usually got 1 or 2 size smaller because I like them tight that way while I'm working out I feel more confident and my legs are warm. Go ahead give it a try. Good look and Enjoy your workout! Water aroebics ROCKS!
