Welcome & Congrats on your upcoming surgery. I do not remember the recovery room at all. I woke up in my room, wondering what I had doen to myself. I felt like I had been hit by a truck, but that did not last long. The best thing you can do for yourself is WALK, WALK, WALK! I had my surgery on Friday and came home on Sunday. Took pain meds once after getting home on Sunday and once on Monday and didn't need anymore. I was a littel sore the first few days but nothing like I had expected. Best of luck & we will see you on the loser's bench!!

Hi Donna,

I actually live just over the Georgia/Alabama line in Georgia, and Dr. Freeman did my RNY 4/2/08.  I think Dr. Freeman and his staff are the best.

If you ever have questions or problems, they always return your calls, regardless if it might be on a weekend or business day.

When I roke up, I was in the recovery room, and really felt like I hadn't even had surgery.  I only
used my pain machine two times, and about the only problem I had was gas.

You should do really well, so don't get nervous about it.  This has been the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I feel so much better than I did prior to surgery.

Good luck, and I'll keep you in my prayers.

Bobbi
