first day
Susan
Hang in there Brenda...you can do this! It will be SO worth it in the end. Try to fill yourself up with as much water (or whatever you're allowed to drink freely) as possible and don't think about food...thinking about it will make you hungry, its called head hunger and it can be vicious, even after surgery. Lose yourself in a good book or movie...find something you like to do and throw yourself into it. When it hit me after surgery my house was spotless...I would clean for hours at a time just so I wouldn't think about food. Don't think about the next two weeks, just concentrate on getting through one day at a time. When you go to bed at the end of each day and you've stuck to your diet you'll feel so good for having done it. Its only 2 weeks compared to the rest of your life, you can do it. Come here for support when you need it, that's what we're here for!

I am not doing so good in this part of my journey...9 yrs later. :-(
) ((bad will)) My second day (today) was a little bit easier. Hopefully, tomorrow (1/30) will be even easier. I think you get used to the hunger. ( I dunno
)
I may have to try cleaning my house to keep my mind off the hunger too... I KNOW my wife would LOVE that. hehehe....
I got a full month of protein shakes (and that's it) so I'm thinking... "WOW... people have actually done this?" But if they can do it, I can too!!! Good luck!!
