Army Hospitals

I was told Tricare would not pay for plastic surgery and our Amry hospital does not do it either. ????

It depends on the region, hospital and your "medical necessity." BACH @ Fort Campbell will do hernia repairs and general hip to hip tummy tuck but only one surgeon does it and he is getting ready to deploy. Our region will pay for a panniectomy (sp?) but it has to be proven as a medical need. It is just really hard to get it approved. I have had several friends on tricare get approved though. It usually only pays for some of the surgery but some is better than none. KWIM? HTH!
