Fort Carson bound?!?!

Hi y'all - My name is Jennifer. My husband and I are headed to Fort Carson. Anyone out there? If so, I would love to chat, looking for friends, I am 27 have no kids... I had weight loss surgery on August 12, 2004 - BUT - my loss is slow so I try not to tell anyone about it. Hope to hear from someone soon. Jen

Jen, Hello!! I am sorry that I can't give you info for Ft. Carson right now. We lived there about 10 years ago for a year. It is a beautiful place!!! I wouldn't worry about your slow loss so far, we all lose at our own pace. I am slow losing as well, my surgery was on Jan. 25, 2005, but I am just happy that weight is coming off. Okay just wanting to say hello and have fun at Ft. Carson!! Becky P.

Thanks y'all for the hellos. It is nice to meet a few military wives, and know that I am not the only one out here. I will say it is probably easier said than done - to "not worry" because I don't feel my surgery is working right. I have lost 75 pounds in 6 months - but I haven't lost a pound since Feb 15. I know this sounds like I am whining, but I am not even at the half way point of what I would like to lose. Hopefully, when i get to Carson I can get into the gym more often - I think that will help me to help myself. Thanks for saying hey. Jennifer

My son is schedulted to go to Ft Carson this summer. Right now he's in Iraq, after serving in South Korea. Hang in there. You know all diet**** plateaus. Even just fidgeting more will help burn calories. Just change your food or your working out and you'll break the plateau. Where are you stationed now? My son is in Ramadi. Hi Jennifer. I had my WLS 4 1/2 years ago and am still trying to get this last 50 pounds off. We are station at Fort Carson also, but live off post (just outside gate 3). I have been going to the YMCA off Jet Wing and really like it. I'm always looking for someone else to exercise with. It makes it less like a chore if you can sweat with another person haha.
