Was today!! I put all the info up on my profile - keeps me from having to copy it down more than once lol! I'm really excited now, instead of nervous like I have been! I hadn't heard of this surgeon before (apparently he's new to the area), but he has great credentials in laparoscopic surgery, and he seems very thorough so far. So, it actually looks like I'll be having surgery before the end of the year, which surprised me! I'll be starting my pre-op testing the week of Sept 17th when I return from a 5-week trip, and I was told that the pre-op testing takes about 2-4 weeks, depending on how flexible my own personal schedule is. Also, once the testing is done and Tricare has approved, I will have my final pre-op visit(s) and get my surgery date, which will be 1-4 (max) weeks out! That soon!! I had no idea - I really figured I was probably looking at this time next year! Anyway I just wanted to update!

so happy for you...I am almost through with all my preop but my surgeon is leaving in Sept to go TDY for 3 months and his replacement won't be here until Dec...well heck my doc will be back then so I guess I am on hold. You shouldn't have any problems with Tricare. Since I am having mine done at the Army hospital I didn't have to wait for their approval. Looking forward to hearing how everything turns out for you!!
