Is anyone else...
...having trouble finding off-post providers who are willing to accept Tricare?? All but a few surgeons in the area have stopped taking Tricare (including my own, but since I had already started the process they agreed to "keep me" lol). And even a lot of the potential PCM's in the area have stopped accepting it! According to the insurance coordinator at my surgeon's office, Tricare is notorious for not paying claims, or for trying to find loopholes to prevent having to pay legitimate claims. I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this problem, or if it may just be a local issue?

Preach on sister!
I am in Dallas staying with my folks while we transition from VA to Fort Bliss in El Paso. There are no military clinics here that see dependents and when my daughter got sick with strep throat I spent over three hours going back and forth on the phone with Tricare trying to find a provider that would take us. All four providers they gave me said they wouldn't take Tricare anymore because they never got paid!
I finally ended up taking her to the ER. Of course they looked at me like I was crazy going there in the middle of the day for a sore throat when I could have gone to a doctors office. It is soooooo frustrating!!
