tutor :)

hi everyone...i just wanted to let you all know that i'm a tutor for autistic children. i love my job and the kids i work with are so amazing. if anyone has questions regarding behaviors, or ideas for fun things to do with your child...let me know i would be happy to help hope all is well for everyone!!! ~jen

Jen, Hi, so nice of you to post on this board! I have 2 with Autism, Lauren is 3 and Evan is 2. I have a 4 year old with possible aspergers. Here in Pa we are lucky, we have inhome therapy that the state pays for. Evan gets 30 hours per week, and Lauren gets 25. I know that many others states don't pay for this type of service. We try to do fun things with our kids. Lauren loves to play with shaving cream, and paints. She has HFA, While Evan is doing ok, but not as well as I thought. He does nothing but stim on wheels, and objects. He does do other stuff when he has therapy. I have no idea on how to slow down these stims. He just started to head bang, does it only when he is mad!! If you have any ideas for me that would be great!! Thanks Kristin
