NHRA! :)

Is anyone here a drag racer and/or drag racing fan? I know I am! I have a street car that I take to the dragstrip once and a while, however, I go to the track to see my friends race more than anything. I hope to change that with my weight loss. I want be more active. I also head out to the national NHRA events a couple of times a year. Houston, Dallas and Indy. This year is Indy's 50th -- US Nationals here I come! Nancy

I am! I actually took my husband to his first drag race and he's been hooked every since. We run our cars for fun occasionally, and have even managed to sleep in the same bad after racing EACH OTHER at the track...lol Hey you win a few and lose a few right? We also LOVE going to events. We usually try to go to Indy every year. We also took the pilgramage to Frank Hawleys Drag Racing School in Gainesville, FL a few years ago (which I HIGHLY recommend). I'm really glad you posted! Cooooool!! What kind of car do you run at the track? I am a die-hard Ford woman. I drive a Mustang. I think it is GREAT that you and your husband can race one another and come home and then sleep in the same bed too! (Alot of men do not deal with losing to a chick very well) I agree that the world seems to be over run with NASCAR fans.. It is alot more tough to find a drag racer in the crowds. I drag race virtually every weekend. I race the same car I drive to work every day. 1999 Chrysler 300M. In the last two years I have about 350 passes. October 1st, 2004 I won the featured Sport Compact class at Maryland International Raceway. The reason I am having WLS is that I heard that every 100 pounds is worth 1/10th of a second in ET. Don
