Kind of cool isn't it, but you're right, there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity.
I too am a huge Jeff Gordon fan! I noticed that you are from Indianapolis. Last summer on our family vacation, we detoured so we could see the track, then I made my family go out of our way so I could visit his home town of Pittsboro! We were there all of 15 minutes..to take a photo by the sign when you enter town.
That's how bad I have it! NASCAR is a crazy sport...if you would have told me 5 years ago that I would be this wrapped up in it, I would have told you you were crazy. It is soooo fun!
We went to the race in Texas in April & are going to the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte on 5/29. Have you been to any races recently.

Yes I am from Indy and HUGE JG fan! I have been since 1997 when the Brickyard rolled into town and he won the first one!! I have been to pittsboro and had my pic done at the sign too! LOL. I think everyone does that. Next time go to Frank and Mary's restaurant. That is Jeff Gordon's favorite restaurant in town....LOL... the ONLY one in town.
I have done the detour thing on vacation before too!! I went to Hendricks Motorsports, Evernham Motorsports and DEI on a Florida Vacation! It was great. DEI was closed though, so I didn't get to go in. I actually met Jeff at Hendricks when I went to charlotte. So when you go to Charlotte, make sure you go. Jeff will be there and he will take time to sign and have pictures done. He is sooooo nice!! 
I have been to quite a few tracks, although by far, Talladega (or Daleadega LOL) is my favorite. Although the 2 times that I don't get to go, Jeff wins...so maybe it is a sign for me to stay away from there! LOL

I LOVE Jeff, but I do like other drivers too. I do have issues with a few drivers though...LOL. But I won't bash until I know you better! LOL

Julie ;) We are planning a day after the race to go to DEI & Hendrick. I hope that Jeff is there! We were planning to go to Talladega in the Fall, but will have to see since I am having surgery. I would love to see a race there.
I am just a Jeff Gordon fan, but everyone in my family likes another driver...2 of my kids (ages 23 & 9) love Jr., my 17 year old daughter LOVES Kasey and my husband is a Tony fan. It gets a little crazy on race day. Funny how defensive fans are about their drivers! My husband and I have a great relationship, but I've said that if he and I ever get a divorce, it will be over a NASCAR race or a comment we made over each others driver! LOL

I just found this board! I too am a huge Gordon fan. I grew up in Florida and went to Daytona every year until I moved to Louisiana 24 years ago. I remember Kyle Petty's first race there. Still have a t-shirt of his and of course King Richard. Wish I had bought one of Adams. Kind of lost interest in Nascar until TMS opened up. Have been to all the races there except one. 
My daughter won out on that one. Had a cheerleading compitition in New Orleans. It was a hard call lol. Her squad came in first and it was an awesome weekend. It was a rain delayed race, I could have made it. Had the ticket but was not in for the long drive after a crazy weekend in New Orleans.
I do like a lot of drivers a few I just can't stand.
My husband had a #6 and I had a #24 on the back of my suburban and one morning I went out to get the newspaper and noticed my #24 was missing off of MY car. I came in at 5:30 in the morning woke my husband and firmly said "that is grounds for divorce" He said he had no idea what I was talking about. I think he did. No one has admitted to taking my #24 off but one day I will find out. He swears he knows nothing about it.
Was suppose to go to Las Vegas this year but my kids had testing that week at school. Had no one to leave them with so will go elsewhere. Been to Talladega, did not like that track. Some of my good friends just love that track but don't like Texas. Oh well.
