Hi! It would not be the first one called for snow. I don't remember the year but it happened here in Richmond, VA . They raced in march and we so some times get snow but always too cold. I am glad they moved it to May, I also go to Concord every year, that is our family vacation. I sure hope the weather is a little drier this year.

I am! I actually took my husband to his first drag race and he's been hooked every since. We run our cars for fun occasionally, and have even managed to sleep in the same bad after racing EACH OTHER at the track...lol Hey you win a few and lose a few right? 
We also LOVE going to events. We usually try to go to Indy every year. We also took the pilgramage to 
Frank Hawleys Drag Racing School in Gainesville, FL a few years ago (which I HIGHLY recommend). I'm really glad you posted! It seems like there are so few of us compared to NASCAR people!

Is anyone here a drag racer and/or drag racing fan? I know I am! I have a street car that I take to the dragstrip once and a while, however, I go to the track to see my friends race more than anything. I hope to change that with my weight loss. I want be more active.
I also head out to the national NHRA events a couple of times a year. Houston, Dallas and Indy. This year is Indy's 50th -- US Nationals here I come!

I totally agree. I have been a fan of Jeffs since he started driving the dupont car. I also attend NASCAR races twice a year. You will find out that Jeff is very hard to get an autograph from. In the 10 years I have been attending NASCAR races, only once did I get his autograph. His "people" seem to control what he does and for how long he can do it. I used to call him the next Earnhardt, because trying to get his autograph was about as hard as trying to get Earnhardts.

Wow!!! That is so cooool!! Wish I could go to the Daytona 500 but I will be with the rest of the couch potato people and watch in on the tube. Have alot of fun!!!! Get a tan while you are at it!!!

I haven't been this excited since I found out my surgery was approved. My sister just called and her fiance decided we needed a "sister weekend" and he is sending us to Daytona! My husband can't stop laughing at me says I'm like a kid in a candy store. I'm just glad that he isn't mad!

I am a huge fan of Jeff Gordon! I went to my first race ever in August. The Brickyard! I am hooked. I think I seen every driver there that day except for mine! Pretty disappointing but I got alot of good autographs. Can't wait till Sunday!

Hi Pat. I had the chance to see Brian at work one day. I work at Fleetwood Motor Homes and he came to design his coach. Didn't get to talk to him but boy does he look young. I believe he is the next Jeff Gordon! Good luck!

Way to go Dawna!!!! This will be my 6th May trip to Charlotte coming up ... I will be barely two months out bu****ch out for me iin October!! I will be hell on feet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really am looking forward to having mobility to walk and climb and just feel better in general.
AND ... Camping at the track is the BEST way. Of course we cheat .. we have a 40 ft motor home, but it's still 'camping'. LOL

DEI IS GREAT BUT I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF DJ FOR YEARS. SO GLAD THE SEASON IS FINALLY HERE. I GREW UP GOING TO DAYTONA BUT NOW AM IN TEXAS SO IT IS TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY FOR ME. LUCKY I AM ONLY ABOUY 45 MINUTES FROM THE TRACK.
WE WILL CAMP THIS YEAR FOR THE FIRST YEAR. (HUSBAND'S COMPANY DID NOT RENEW THEIR SUITE THIS YEAR) AT LEAST I WILL BE ABLE TO WALK THIS YEAR. (DOWN 86 AND WILL BE AT LEAST AT THE 100LB MARK BY RACE TIME).
HERE IS TO A SAFE SEASON FOR ALL THE TREAMS.
