Kind of cool isn't it, but you're right, there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity.
I too am a huge Jeff Gordon fan! I noticed that you are from Indianapolis. Last summer on our family vacation, we detoured so we could see the track, then I made my family go out of our way so I could visit his home town of Pittsboro! We were there all of 15 minutes..to take a photo by the sign when you enter town.
That's how bad I have it! NASCAR is a crazy sport...if you would have told me 5 years ago that I would be this wrapped up in it, I would have told you you were crazy. It is soooo fun!
We went to the race in Texas in April & are going to the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte on 5/29. Have you been to any races recently.
That is great about Kasey...FINALLY got his victory!

Topic: Talladega Bound!!!!!!!!
Just wondering if anybody out there is going
to Talladega this weekend. My hubby and I are
going. We are going to the track Sat. to check
out stuff and then to the race Sunday. We got
this Pepsi Sports Package where we get to go
to Hospitality Village and on pit road before the
race. I am so excited. I have been before but
I have never gotten to do this. Let me know
if you'll be there.

Topic: Tired of watching Roush and Hendrick cars..........

I don' t think that it is fair for the manufacturers to give them more support than the other teams. I am also tired on NASCAR throwing a debris caution everytime a car on one of those teams has a problem or is about to go a lap down. It has happened in the past three races and it is getting old.
I have nothing against the drivers just the fact that the two and one car teams don't get the support that they need from the manufacturers. Why don't we just have a NASCAR where there is a chevy, ford, and dodge team and call it a day then? 
I am a huge fan of Elliott Sadler, Dale, Jr.
and Smoke and I would like to see one of them have a shot at the champoinship but at this rate the top ten is going to be all five Roush cars and the three Hendrick cars and then someone who was just lucky enough to get a few more points. Sorry, I had to rant, it is DRIVING ME CRAZY

Jeff Gordon is probably the nicest, most respectable and most talented driver in Nascar. The reason most rednecks hate him is that he uses complete sentances and there is no place for that in NASCAR!

I might see you at Dover.I looked at your profile and your little boy is too cute!I am going to Talladega in May and want to attend a race that I haven't been too also.Is it easy to fly into Dover?Can you get Pit Passes.I would love to get in the pits.I too would love to go to Richmond and Bristol.I just don't have noone to go with now.I usually go with my cousin but her daughter is getting married and having a baby in Sept.Well I might check into Dover.Hope to talk to you again.Bye and God Bless!

Dover is great! I have gone to both races every year for the past three years. I really like the track because if you sit in either turn 1 or turn 4 you can see the entire pit road, the front stretch and all of the corners. Sometimes you loose the cars in the back stretch and the bottom of the opposite corner but other than that you see the whole race. I am told that at the superspeedways and mile and a half's you can only see where you are sitting. I would recommend Dover to anyone. I would love to go to Bristol and Richmond too. If you are ever interested in coming up to Dover, I would definitely love to meet up. Let me know! God Bless!

Hi Beth!Talladega is awesome!You just have to be prepared for anything because you will see it.It is not someplace I would bring small kids.I love it.Although I didn't condone the throwing stuff on the track last year.Be sure to bring sunscreen if you do go.I would recommend it.How is the Dover races?Well keep up the good work.Oh I agree with you on the "Go 20".

I am going to Dover both in the Spring and Fall as usual! I am so happy that racing season has started. Sundays were getting a little boring! Let me know how Talledega is because I was considering going there next year!

So glad to find this board!! So, I'm not the only NASCAR nut here! 
I've been to Vegas twice, Charlotte Oct race (twice), Michigan and Chicago previously. As for right now, only planning on going to quals at Chicagoland.
Hopefully later this year, after I see how surgery and everything goes, I can see about another track.
