Myra Good Morning!!! It is beatiful here in Missouri 8:am and already 70 degrees. Had a slow week but yesterday and today are gonna be busy. Cleaning house and getting a new roof on garage. I hope everyone has a good day today and a better weekend!!!! Love Melissa P.S. Doing great so far from surgery. So far nothing has made me sick or dump. Of course I am very strict about what I eat or dont eat. I dont try and slide anything in that isnt on my list. I am getting approx 58 grams of protein in a day and approx 64 oz of fluid. My drain hole is healing up very nicely. I havent slept with my bypap or oxygen since the day of surgery. And I sleep all night long without interuptions. At last count I had lost from surgery 32lbs. I will step on the scale again on Tuedays morning before I leave to go to Columbia. Thanks for all the prayers.

Hey Melissa, So far in THIS corner of Missouri (SEMO) it's an iffy day ... one minute sunshine, next overcast. Can't make up its mind, but then when COULD Missouri's weather be predictable? right? I don't remember how far Joplin is from Sikeston, but we're pretty close neighbors compared to all our fellow SMOers. So here's a big old Missouri to you. Myra PS Sound like you're doing mahvelously! Congrats!!!

Good morning, I'm coming down from the top of the world (got my surgery date yesterday). I overslept for work, woke up at 5:15 a.m. and was due at work at 5 a.m. The day is getting better. My week was great and the weekend is going to be better. Lurnia

Sunshine and a little wind up in Indiana! I am just glad it is not rain! I had to keep the patio doors locked until breakfast was over because the little ones are tripping over themselves to get outdoors there are still nose prints from their faces stuck against the glass. Zander ran out in the buff the other day, I thought we were getting ready for everyones bath and there in the back yard is a little naked child trying to get into the fort befor being dragged back into the tub. I am sure we will have a wonderful weekend. Hey Myra, is Independance, MO close to you? or Liberty? Just curious have a great one! keri

Hi Keri, Sorry, no ... Independence and Liberty are both much higher in the state than I am ... if you look at a map of Missouri ... I live just near the top of the little "hangy down" part at the bottom (right side ... Southeast corner) of the state. Around here they call it the "bootheel", but it's always looked like a horse's hoof to me Myra

Hello Myra, This morning I stopped at Wal-mart after I dropped off my teen-ager to school. It was 6:30 am..the perfect time to shop! I alway**** the clearance rack. I found a blouse for $3.00..and guess what? It was an 18 and it fit! Granted, I know why the blouse was marked down from $14.00, it's summer, and it has 3/4 sleeves..maybe slightly longer. Do you think that will stop this crazy sewing girl?? I don't think so..off to chop the sleeves to a shorter.. more wheather friendly style...not too short though..still have arm flapper issues. I know that size 18 isn't exactly "Twiggy" fashion.....but for me, coming from a tight 4x top to an 18 aka 1x top is mind boggling to me. Now when I shop, I can't believe all the larger sizes that I am finding...I'm like, how come I couldn't find these when I was 83 pounds heavier??? Well, so much for my morning. My hubby is home from work today...so I guess we will go spend money...just kidding. He went to the library..and I stayed with the computer, what a trade! I hope everybody has a great day/week-end! Well Unfortuantely I am not as far along as you guys. I am still in the beginning phases and having trouble with some of the required tests. I have been turned away from Radiology Facilities because they say I am too fat for the Upper Gi and the Abdomen Ultrasound. I wonder how much they would cost out of pocket. I have insurance but they dont cover the one place that takes super Obese people(I always feel like I super hero when I refer to myself like that)lol Anyway I am just punching..I mean pushing forward but my God there are alot of obstacles. Keep me in your prayers! I just want this whole thing to be over.

Rachel, check the fine print in your insurance coverage to see about "out-of-network" or other coverage. It seems to me if there is only one option for you to get necessary tests performed, the insurance is going to have to cover at least a portion of it. You may have to fight with them about it, but don't just accept NO as the final answer. Kix
