Gym Is Open (Tuesday)

I gave into big knee pain and did not go this morning. I'm hoping it will subside so I can at least take a walk tonight. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

I decided to incorporate a bit more activity into my day, so I walked from our house to the neighbor's house and back two times. Our street slopes a bit, so it was a good little workout for me. Got the blood pumping and all. I use a walker and portable oxygen, and since I got my little Helios, it's easier to carry the portable O2. The neighbor was out working on his Harley when I came outside, and he said, "What's wrong? Everything OK?" I said, "Yep, just getting some exercise." He was pretty pleased for me. After my first "lap" from our house to his and back, he said, "Boy, it's good to see you out and about." Another milestone! I like milestones. My doctor approved me for the warm water therapy pool, so now I need to get that set up. I hope to go three days a week, but I'm not sure what their summer schedule is yet. I still need to do my armbike, which I will do in about a half-hour after my Optifast meal has settled a bit. Life is good! Kix

Kix, This is so wonderful! It is great that you are out and around. Tell that neighbor that in a year you will be running circles around him! That's what I told people and that is what I do! Big Hugs, Lori

Hi Lori CONGRATULATIONS on your one year surgeriversary!! Last night I did: 20 mins on the treadmill 20 mins on the bike 20 more mins on the treadmill adding inclines every 5 mins. I got up to a 7 incline I was sooo proud of me!! I will be up and at it again tonight. I didn't even want to go last night and was surprised to see how much I accomplished. HAVE A GREAT WORKOUT EVERYONE!! Jamie

The cool thing is Jamie, that part only gets better...you will continue to be amazed at yourself and what you can do as time goes on...it is a great feeling! Good for you! Lori

Hi Lori, I walked around my neighborhood for 30 minutes. I did 2 miles on my gazelle. I also did some arm and leg exercises on our home gym. I did 60 crunches. Happy Anniversary Lori!!! Hope your knee gets better. (((hugs))) Diana 379/174/?

I walked a mile and half today at the park with the dogs. I have a kink in my neck. So I dont think I will do pilates today.

Today I did smart abs work out. and arm exercises with my 3 pound weights I am an evening exerciser, do you think it matters when? Thanks for this post. It makes me think about exercise. and sometimes helps me actually exercise : )
