Gym Is Open (Friday)

Hope everyone is doing well and planning on a wonderful holiday weekend! Here is what I did at the gym today: Weight Training Circuit (Complete 3 cycles) 1. Machine Leg Press 1 x 8 2. Machine Chest Press 1 x 8 3. Cable Seated Row 1 x 8 4. Machine Leg Curls 1 x 8 5. Standing DB Shoulder Press 1 x 8 6. Standing DB Biceps Curls 1 x 8 7. SB Dumbbell Triceps Extension 1 x 8 8. Machine Back Extension 1 x 10 9. SB Crunch 1 x 15 Then a quick 20 minutes on the treadmill for cardio. I will take a walk this evening. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

Hi Lori I hit the gym last night with some gusto but it was hot as heck in there. We went in at a different time of day and no air con it was HOT!! I did: 15 mins on the treadmill and 25 mins on the bike. I'm hoping to get in more tonight. We will be going around 6 again when it's COOL..forget going back at 3 wheww too hot for me! Jamie, I hate it when the gym is hot! It happens at our gym sometimes. I usually do okay when I go at 5 am, it doesn't have the sun of the day beating in. But, tomorrow, I meet with my trainer again at 9am...hope it is cool. I sure like to work out better when it is cool. Sounds like you are doing great! Lori

Hey Lori, Just got thru sweating like a mule dancing for thirty five minutes. I talked to Tanja about me uping my time everyday but when I got to the thirty five I felt wiped out. So till I get that down pat I think will stay for thirty five dancing. Maybe up it five later on... Like you said, gotta change it up after while of doing the same.But sure feel it in the legs. Right at the back...Ouch!! Guess that means its working lol. Happy Memorial weekend to all!!! Have no plans this weekend! Hugs Marge

Hi Marge, Hey, my rule of thumb about adding time to exercise is that I only add time when it starts getting easy. That usually takes a couple of weeks. Sounds great though! Lori

Some days, I feel like I sound like a broken record when I say I did 1.1 miles on the armbike and my little walk to the neighbor's and back x 2. Before too long, I hope to add more varied activity to my daily report! Kix

Hi Lori, I walked three miles around my neighborhood. I also did my arm and leg exercises on my home gym. I was bad again...had movie popcorn at the movies. Made myself do that extra mile. Diana

Just got back from the gym had a slow night (it was my son's first night in an Irish dance class so I was peeping in A LOT). I did 30 mins on the bike but no resistance. I will strive to do better next week. Have a great weekend Lori!! Jamie
