When did your first major plateau come, and how long did it last? I've been on one for 9 weeks now.

Hiya...I've been reading your profile. I see you've not really been stalled so much as doing the I'm stuck bounce...up and down over a couple of pounds. I'm curious - you seem to try different things (more fluids, less carbs, more exercise, etc.). Have you stuck to any one thing for more than 10 days? It takes about 2 weeks of consistency to see a change in your body. Speaking of changes, do you measure? Are you losing inches while your pounds bounce up and down? How's your sodium intake? Is there any water retention in your fingers (upper between middle joint and knuckle) or in your ankles? Are you getting OVER 70 ounces of fluids a day to keep the fat flushing and avoid water retention? Is this possibly a weight you were at once for a long time - a 'set point' that your body might 'remember' and like? If so, you may have to force it to let go.... Anyway, these are just some thoughts....(((HUGS))), Toots

Hey Tooter, it's been a long time. Like the new pic. Yes I have stuck to any one thing for more than ten days..the exercise and less carbs. That was in April. May, I did kinda jump around. Yes, this is a weight years ago I was at for a while. I do drink over 70 oz of water, atleast for the last 5-6 wks. However at times I do think I retain water. I have not measured, but I did think about it recently and though I did not lose weight in April, I went down 2 sizes. As well as now my pants are loose on me, so I had to have lost more inches. I had so much weight to lose, that I didn't measure, and really didn't want to start till I got under 200 lbs. But I'm kinda curious now, since my pants are big on me now. I kinda remember what my waist size was before surgery. Somewhere I have other measurements written down. Another friend of mine just told me the same thing to stick with something longer, so I am gonna take ya'lls suggestions. My sodium intake varies. Thanks a lot!
