Well, not for me, yet. I am having a BMR (basil metabolic rate) test done in about 1.5 hours. My doctor has me fasting, no caffeine and no exercise. I will then breathe into a machine that will measure how many calories I burn when resting. I think it will be interesting. I feel like crap, no food, no caffeine, no exercise. I will have to make up for it tonight! What did you do to move your body today? Lori 384/236/199

Hi Lori, ~walked two miles in my neighborhood (one mile with my neighbor lady and one mile with my hubby) ~ two miles on the gazelle ~60 crunches ~leg and arm exercises on the home gym. We went to the movies and saw Break Up and yes I had some movie popcorn. So what is that test for? I have never heard of it before. Have a great weekend, Diana 379/173/?

Hi Diana, The BMR test (basil metabolic rate) measures how many calories your body burns when you are in a resting state. Then it calculates how many calories you can eat per day and how much exercise you have to do to lose or maintain weight. I would still like to lose about 40 lbs. In order to do that, according to my results (I have a sluggish metabolism), I have to exercise 7.5 hours a week and eat no more than 1900 calories a day to lose 2 lbs a week. I was hoping it would be better news than that, but, at least I know what I'm up against. Lori
