Hi Marlena, You are doing terrific girl! I was wondering the same thing...what are some good dvd's that are good for beginners??? I am definately a beginner in the exercise department..and a skinny chick bebopin around will do nothing but depress me. I know there is a dvd that I saw at Costco called "Walk Away The Pounds" something like that. I was wondering if that was good..and how exactly does it work? Are you walking in place??? I have been going to the mall for exercise and I know that has been a great starting point for me. Oh, by the way, I go to the mall at 8:00 am before the stores actually open up....sometimes the smell of Cinnabon drives me up the wall though..I leave my $ in the car!!! Good luck! Hugs,Ginger

Hey Ginger, hi Sweetie! I just wanted to tell you I have walk away the pounds and it is EXCELLENT for beginners. I love it, but their are advanced ones, so just read the label so you know which level you are getting. Karyn

no treadmill, just walk in place, and it goes by quick too! i think the video is less than 20 minutes(the 1 mile walk). Let me know how you like it if you do get it! Karyn

I have a dvd called body flex. It is for the beginner and most exercises are sitting down. You use a bar with some of the exercises. I use this mainly on days when my knees hurt too much to walk. If you do a search for body flex you should be able to find out more information. I think it is very helpful. Take care Erin

Marlena, I have a few that I got for a gift and I have tried them once and never again. You are wlcome to have them if you want but I found them to be too fast paced for me and the movements were almost impossible for me to catch on to. The ones i have are called "cardio soul" it is like aerobic dancing to hip hop, I DO NOT have SOUL Karyn

I personally like the old standby's RICHARD SIMMONS!! He keeps me hopping and the music is great>>>PLUS its a total body workout for all sizes!! So should I call him up and see if he needs a PR person??!! I would gladly share but all my Simmons are VHS. I haven't bought workout tapes in so long I haven't even looked at the DVD versions. Please post and let us know if you run across any good ones. Hugs, Jamie

Just wanted to share about the DVD's. There is a small program u can download called limewire. Its at limewire.com. If u have dvd movies u can put them on your computer in a share folder and then others can download copies of it. Its totally free and legal. I have gotton many Richard Simmons tapes that way and I also have shared my walk away the pounds tapes. I just thought I would let everyone know. Its a cheap way of sharing your tapes so that everyone can get in their exercise. You can download movies and music there too. I mostly go for the exercise and self help books on tape. Just an idea...hope it helps someone out Mariah

Hi Marlena, I checked mine out from my library. Although I was not a senior citizen at the time, I used Richard Simmons "Silver Foxes". It's a much slower pace than what one normally sees. Best of everything in your journey.
