My skirt fell off -- repost from main board
I've only lost about 45 lbs but my clothes are already too big. Last night in church my skirt fell off and hit the floor. I could not believe it.
I think this was a WOW moment. I started out at 450 and last Wed I was at 405. My shape is coming back so I now have a waist line and my stomach is going down. I don't want to start buying clothes this early as I have a long way to go. Guess I'll dust off the sewing machine and start tightening up some waist lines.
Just wanted to share.
Also, I'm wearing a outfit today that was too little last year.

Oh, Lurnia,
You must had been a sight yesterday at Church!!! You haven't had the surgery yet and you are doing so well. I have found that I had to take some of the seams of my clothes in too (glad that I can sew) My problem, like alot of us, is that the weight has been coming off the top of my body aka head, face, fingers, wrists..and yes..the chest! I am starting to get a waist that I didn't know was there...but...the flab lands on the tummy. My sis told me she was jealous of my small butt..I said, Please tell me again..nobody has ever told me that one!!! Especially with my family gene pool. Out of 5 kids..only one kid doesn't have a weight problem. She is a water arobics instructor..we hate her! Just kidding!! Congrads on your WOW moment! Here's to many many more that are in store for you!!!

PS I am so jealous I can't sew a lick..I earned a D in Home Ec..is that even how you spell it??...well see I can't even spell it. I can do just about anything but sewing is out.
Hey Jamie,
Can I trade my sewing abilities for better Math skills??? I always had a mental block when it comes to Math. I remember..vaugely..many, many moons ago in the 3rd grade. We were learning how to tell time. My older brother told me that telling time had something to do with Math. I would get myself so worked up and paniced every time that part of the day happened. I went to the nurse's office all the time. Well, I didn't learn how to tell time till years later. I wore a watch cause I thought it was cool..but paniced if somebody asked me what time it was. If it wasn't an "O'clock " or "thirty" I was up a creek. Oh, and there was no such thing as digital clocks at the time!!! yeesh!! It wasn't till I was in college that I found out that math phobia was a real deal, and that they actually had courses for people with that problem. I can do day to day stuff and I am fine... my point is...don't feel bad for your home Ec. trials and wooes. I'm sure you get -by just great raising your family now. One of my sisters glue guns her kids hems in their pants when she doesn't have enough time to send to Aunt Ginger to sew them for her!!!
