Race Results Are In!
Hi All,
I just got the official results of the 8K race I ran in this morning. I finished 63rd out of 64 people with a time of 1:03:11. I was 19th out of 20 women and 5th out of 5 women in my age group. So, I met ALL of my goals... I actually went through with it and participated. I finished the entire race. I RAN the entire race without walking or stopping to rest. And... I did NOT finish last (2nd to last, but that's ok). My mom and dad were with me; however, they inconveniently took a little trip home to use the restroom and missed me crossing the finish line by literally 60 seconds at most - lol. Oh well, there's always next time, and there will be a next time... there's a 10K race on August 12th that I am going to run in, and this time my boyfriend is going to run with me. Well, he'll no doubt be way ahead of me, but it's the thought that counts. Besides meeting the goals I mentioned, I also surpassed the time goal I had in my head; I had actually given myself 90 minutes to finish, and I did it in 63 minutes and 11 seconds!! Sorry to sound like I'm bragging... I don't mean to, I'm just very happy! Thank you to all of you who supported me; I appreciate it so much.

I told you that somewhere in ya you were like Forrest Gump lol.... I am so proud of you and deserve all the praise. I tell ya, I know it was major to just sign up. So just goes to show you that as time passes by the more wow moments are to come! Just wish could have been there to cheerlead ya in! If I had done it they would have done went home for the night by the time I got over the finish line... Lol
