I had my 3 month check up today and got lots of compliments...let me tell ya that does good things for the ol ego...!! I was on cloud 9 when I left. It really made my day. I've lost a total of 67 lbs since April 7th. Everything went well in fact the Doc told me that I have the blood pressure of a grade school kid...110/70...woo hoo before surgery it was always in the 140's and 150's. I have no aches no pains and besides the mood swings everything is great. He said the mood swings will pass just hang in there and try to find things to release stress. I've decided to keep myself busy excercising, cleaning out junk, going to the library (which I LOVE) and bookstores (again another fav of mine)...I can't wait to get back to the Mainland and do some HARDCORE antiquing...I sure miss it!! On another note I don't think I mentioned this but this past weekend I put on a pair of Levi's size 20...WOOOO HOOO!! I couldn't button or zip them but I had them and up over my hips which was amazing!! I couldn't believe it I had to stop and just rub my hand across the label...LEVI'S!!!!! I also went to Macy's and tried on clothes 18/20's and EVERYTHING I took in the dressing room FIT!! Everything fit I couldn't believe it..I wanted to cry tears of joy...shout it to the workers...to the world...I FIT.. I FIT.. I FIT!!! I know I posted that my mood swings are killers but today was definitely an up day for me! I hope you are all having great days as well. Thanks for letting me shout it from the rooftops how great my day went. My nutritionist said that I could lose 80 more lbs before we move home in March...OMG I would 150 lbs..I wonder if my family would even recognize me at the airport??!! HUGS, Jamie

That's so fantastic! Congratulations!!!! LOL imagine that, you in the dressing room yelling excitedly - they'd wonder who you're in there with! I'm so excited for you! Yet at the same time, I'd like to knock you over and steal your place!

Good job Amber. You are doing great. Wont be long and you will be zipping those 20s. I am not far behind you. I thought I was in 20s awhile back but I guess I was wrong about the size those pants was cause when I went to the store about a month ago I couldnt get 20s over my hips so I guess I will try again sometime. We started at about the same size and your surgery was a week behind mine so we are running aboutthe same I have lost 64 pds. good luck and keep your ego up!!

Hi Jamie, Congrads on your wow day!! The great weight-loss..the great blood pressure.. and the amazing dressing room experience. I am loving trying clothes..I haven't enjoyed that since I started getting fat in the 80's. I too wanted to try on some zip-up jeans yesterday. I put a size 22 on and they fit!!! I pushed my luck and went back to get a size 20..well I could get those over my mongo hips and tummy..but no zippy-uppy..not yet anyway. I bought the size 22 jeans...they were a little long and the legs were kinda baggy. When I got home, I wondered why in the heck did I buy these? I'm gonna have to re-make practically the whole pair to get them to fit my odd shaped body! Jamie, when you are feelin' down..go back and reread this wow day it will remind you how far you have come in such a short period of time!! It wouldn't hurt to also shine here on the board cause we all truly know where you are coming from cause we've been there and done that...or soon will! Hugs & Stitches, Ginger

Keep up the weight loss and your husband will be able to put you in his carry-on bag! Congratulations on all the WOW moments, and when you move back home in March, I hope you don't end up on a non-stop flight! That's just too much time on an airplane. Hugs, Kix

OH Kix we did that non stop thing on our way back from Christmas vacation. I think we flew from Savannah to Atlanta and that was where we had our first and only stop and it was straight from there to Honolulu and I didn't leave my seat one time!! I was too afraid to go to the bathroom because well..because I've never been brave enough to use an airplane bathroom. I was SOOOOO miserable when I got off that darn plane. I CAN'T wait to fly home and see how much room I'll have in my seat and just what an airplane bathroom actually looks like.. I told my husband for a treat lets fly home first class...so we'll see. THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR RESPONSES!!! GREAT BIG HUGS ALL AROUND! Hugs, Jamie
