9 month visit glucous of 40 HELP

Yesterday was my 9 month check up .Everything is great with my weight loss I am down 156lbs But and this is a big but. My blood glucose was 40 ,when they check it in the office it was 80.The doctor was very alarmed at this level and will be monitoring me closely .I have to pick up a monitor tonight after work. I was ok with this until I looked up low blood sugar in Gastric bypass patients on the internet. What I read was kind of scary. Has anybody here had any experience with this? I sure could use any info anyone has on . Thanks Dawn

Dawn, I don't have any official info. I just know I experience low blood sugar very easily. I must eat on schedule and I must focus on protein intake. Simple carbs easily make me have an insulin dump that gives me low blood sugar...like never before. Lori

Dawn, I started having problems with my blood sugar a few months back. It isnt serious for me and I do my best to control it. I had to learn to eat on schedule and keep a small healthy snack with me at all times in case it drops. I believe Myra was also having issues with this too.. Maybe she has more info.. Please share whatever info you come across! Amber
