New To This Board
Hi everyone. I just stumbled upon this board and thought I would say hi. My name is Deanna. Last November I was at my highest weight of 459. That is when I started my wls journey. Through weigh****chers and the liquid diet I was down to 424 by the day of my surgery. Well, as of yesterday, which is just a tad over 3 months, I am down to 345.5. I can not be more excited. I just can't believe how fast the weight is coming off. I never dreamed I could lose weight like this. Well, I just wanted to say hi and fill you in on a little of my history. I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Wow, Deana, That's Great!
I can really relate, because I weighed 424 last week when I went for my preop evaluation, and I hope I've lost a bit more in the meantime, I feel like I have. I'm on a pre-op diet and exercising like crazy, or at least as much as a 400+ lb 49 year old woman can anyway.
I'm SO happy to hear you have lost that much in 3 months. Gives me a hopeful feeling. Are you a good loser usually? I used to be, but slow as molasses in the last 3 years or so.
I'm having RNY on July 17th, welcome to the board!

Hey Deanna,
Welcome aboard the best message board in town!! Lol there are alot of great people here and listen very well. So feel free to rant and rave some days and boo hoo betty the next if you like lol.... Im like diana though. Yesterday I told my niece that the only thing I regret is not having this surgery years ago. But mentally I wasnt prepared for the change or financially so oh well...... Keep up the great work and you have alot of wow moments ahead!!
Hugs Marge
I would like to thank you all for the warm welcome to your board. It amazes me how nice everyone is here at OH.
Julie...No, I'm not usually a fast loser. Maybe once upon a time but not anymore. Well, at least before surgery that is. Congrats on your date and I will keep you in my prayers. You're having surgery on my brother's birthday, so that will be easy to remember.
Diana and Marge....I am with you two on the fact that I wish I had the surgery years ago. Actually, I have been trying for 10 years to have the surgery and was finally able to get it. I had to wait until I had an insurance that would pay for it.
Well, thanks again for the warm welcome and the congrats on my weight loss. After I get home from vacation I am going to try to post an updated pic of me. My MO board family has been after me to do it for a while now so I had my son take a pic of me while we are here at my brother's.

Congratulations Deanna! You're losses are fantastic. Thanks for sharing your experience that gives me some hope. At my first consultation the doctor told me to lose 100 pounds and come back. I was so devastated that I almost gave up. Someone on the OH board told me that if it was them they would find another doctor. After my little pity party I did just that. I have a consultation with Dr. Le Port on August 11. I'm hoping for a little more understanding...
Keep on keeping on...you're doing great!
