5 days postop

Here's my question, Did you have bad dreams about food at first? I keep dreaming I take an enormous bite of something, swallow it almost whole, and die in pain! I woke up three times last night. I get that my subconsious is trying to work out this huge change, please tell me someone else has experienced this! Kate PS when It's not a nightmare, my dreams are very vivid.

I had a lot of weird dreams at first too - very vivid. I suspect it was the pain meds. While I was in the hospital I was talking in my sleep a lot, maybe from the morphine. It all got better after a little while. I did dream about eating too much too, not dying from it, but about "messing up." I don't think I have had one of those in a while. (I am almost 8 weeks out.)

Ooooh I've had some very odd dreams too - not about food but about screwing up in general and other VERY random stuff - I'm not on any pain meds. Hmmm......

The short answer to this question for me is "Yes". Still do at times, but, it is rare now. Lori
