Gym Is Open (Monday)

New week, new resolve to exercise consistently! Here is what I did this morning. 45 minutes on the treadmill SB Reverse Crunch 3 x 15 Stability Ball Weighted Oblique Crunch 3 x 10 each Stability Ball DB Chest Press 3 x 8 Stability Ball DB Pull Over 3 x 8 SB DB Fly 2 x 10 Lat Pull Down Wide Grip 2 x 10 Cable Biceps Curls 2 x 10 V Grip Cable Triceps Extension 2 x 10 I plan to go back to the gym tonight (I actually have my clothes with me this time) to walk another 1.5 miles at least. It is too hot to walk the neighborhood at night now. What did you do to move your body today? Lori 384/235.5/199

Hi Lori !!!!! I actualy tried walking again this morning...It was at 500 am cuase its nice and cool... I was using a pedomiter-? but that thing never works for me but I walked at a good pace for 25 minutes... I would have went longer... but I'd probably have been face down on the asfualt with some dumy thinking I was a perticularly large speed beep. My mom uses one of those balance balls and she really loves it. She can do all kinds of different exercise with it and some free wieghts. Well I will check back in tomorrow, not walking two days in a row but I'll think of some thing. P.S. it was 103 here yesterday... aahh

Good for you Katherine. My trainer has me doing a bunch of exercises with the stability ball. It helps build core strength. I do recommend it! Keep at it. It is over 100 degrees here too, so I'm going to start doing my evening walking at the gym. I don't like the idea of going there twice a day, but, I can't tolerate walking at night in the heat. Lori

Hi Lori, I did 4 1/2 miles on my gazelle. I had a support group meeting at 7:00pm so I couldn't do my outside walking. I didn't want to sweat before my meeting. Take care, Diana

I did get some walking in yesterday, but I was so busy the day got away from me before I realized it. It has been so hot that I have been wailting to do my walking at night so that it is cooler and I think alot of peoople have the same ideal. Reminds me of when I was a few a few years younger and did my walking at midnight cause I didnt want anyone seeing the fat lady walking. I was suprised by how many people walked at night then too. I lost 100 pds that year only to can it back and then some. oh well Hope you have a nice day.

Marie, I've had to move my evening walking to the gym since I can't tolerate the heat either. We just have to keep at it, whatever it takes! Hugs, Lori

Hi Lori I feel so bad when I don't post in the gym section. I've been in a slump lately. I'm going through a rough cycle and decided to take a few days off. I just have NO energy and I think it's due to the heavy cycle. Boy there is just no delicate way to type that out.. Sorry in advance to any men reading this. I am hoping to get back to the gym later this week. I hope everyone has a great workout week! Jamie
