Is there anything I can do post op to keep myself from having falbby loose skin? I don't have the $ for plastic surgery such as tummy tucks or arm lifts. Does anyone have a pointer on keeping the loose skin to a minimum???? Thanks, Sunshine

People have all kinds of ideas (water, exercise, creams, genetics, etc.), but I don't think there it much to do. Either you'll have loose skin, or you won't. My arms are big, but my legs are great and my stomach is not so bad. I was sure I would have a problem, since I had a huge belly, 2 huge babies and 2 c-sections. Loose skin is better than extra fat. Good luck!

Sunshine, My loose skin problem is better than I expected, but, I do exercise a lot, take all my vitamins and drink lots of water. My arms are saggy, but, not real saggy. I have the most loose skin on my belly and legs. I don't think I'll be having plastic surgery because I can't afford it. But, I'm very happy in clothes (not so happy naked). It is worth it just to feel so good! Lori 384/235.5/199

Hi Sunshine..don't know if this will help. I'm only 3 months out and workout or try to workout (to include weights) 5 days a week and my arms look like two huge wings. I'm not sure how much will shrink and how much will still hang as the months go by. I'm seriously hoping I can learn to love them even if they stay flabby. My legs are getting tone but I can see the flab on them. Before surgery my chub was hard as a rock and now I'm jiggly in places I've never been jiggly before. I'm still newly post op (or at least I like to think so..) so I'm crossing my fingers that it will improve some. My starting weight was 297 and now I'm 227. Jamie

I drink load of water and do lots of exercise and I STILL have horrific loose skin. There's not much to do. Once it's been stretched, it's stretched. You can see my bat wings in my profile. I may also add some pics of my loose abdominal skin. I will say this, though. I will take loose skin anytime rather than be back over 300 pounds! Hugs, Tracy
