Gym Is Open (Tuesday) & big thanks to all.
Thanks so much to everyone *****sponded to my desperate post yesterday. I am feeling much better today. My feelings of disappointment about my plateau seem to come and go. This morning, I got up, went to the gym, have done very well on my eating so far, feel empowered to do this!
Here is what I did today:
20 minutes on the treadmill...I hope to go back to the gym tonight to do 30 more minutes.
S Ball Curl-In (hamstring curl)
Ball Fly with Ring
Ball One Arm Press with Ring
Grab Ankle leg push down
Pec Fly Machine (No seat)
Ball balance alt. leg/arm lift
Push/Pull w/cable alt. sides
Tricep cable pushdowns
DB Bicep curl
Cable Upright Row
Cable Squat
What did you do to move your body today?

She's got a bunch of 4 mile DVD's. If you're talking about the Walk Away the Pounds 4 mile Superchallege, no it's not hard to finish. There is no upper body toning and no jogging intervals involved, just very, very fast walking for an hour - faster than her other tapes, but still doable. When you get about three miles in, she slows the pace waaay down, too much in my opinion. I'd prefer to be to very brisk right up to the cooldown. It's a very good workout, though, and I have no problem keeping my heart rate up during miles 1-3. I usually slip on some wrist weights to keep the rate up during mile 4 since she slows the pace down, however.
The only other 4-mile DVD of hers that I have is her "4 Mile Fat Burning Walk". It has a bunch of jogging intervals, so it's harder to finish. But since it involves jogging, you get done the 4 miles in about 45 minutes rather than an hour.
The DVD I was referring to yesterday is her "Walk Away the Pounds - Walk Strong" DVD. It's 2 miles with weight lifting intervals every three minutes. I coupled it with her regular 2 Mile Walk Away the Pounds for a total of 4 miles. There aren't that many 60 minute cardio DVD's out there, so I usually string together two shorter ones to get in the hour.
Hi Lori
Back to doing therapy type things right now, but at least got this much in today so far:
9 mins Arm Bike
10 mins recumbant trainer
Ball balance therapy with stretches
Hamstring stretches
Steps for leg strength building (easy level)
then finished off with STIM treatment (got zapped) and heat therapy
If it cools down later I'd like to at least walk 20 or so minutes, but that all depends on the weather ... and my stamina.
I'm so glad you're feeling better ... you're in my thoughts
