I did make it back to the gym last night to walk for 35 minutes on the treadmill. I'm hoping to get there twice a day now. Just to make sure I get in my 10,000 steps...we will see, it does take a lot of effort to get myself there twice a day. I did go this morning at 5 am. I did 20 minutes on the treadmill for cardio then 30 minutes of weight training and stretching: Med Ball Over Head Side Bends Med Ball Woodchop Squats Floor Crunch Feet Up Floor Crunch Knees In Floor Kickout on Elbows Elbow Raise Over S Ball Reverse Curl With Dowel Band Lateral Raise Band Front Raise Tricep Kickback on S Ball Superman on S Ball Front bend, back extension Reverse Grip Lat. Pull down One Leg, Leg Press (each leg) Band Side Walk Leg and Hip stretches I have my in-person WLS support group tonight, so don't know if I'll make it back for more walking or not, but, I do have my clothes with me, so that can't be my excuse! What did you do to move your body today? Lori 384/235.5/199

It was out to mow....the first time since I was bit. Boy I could tell it had been awhile. I am tired tonight. I also got my peddler today (just the peddle part of a bike) and used it for a while. My girls like using while watching TV too. I bo9ught it because I thought it would be good for right after surgery .. I cannot believe it is only 5 days away.... and that I could use it as an arm bike if I am too sore to peddle with my legs. Great job everyone~ keep moving!!!! Shellie

Shellie, Your surgery date will be here before you know it! Take it easy after surgery. Take short walks. To try and prevent blood clots. The hard core exercising stuff can come later. I didn't really do much more than short walks for about 10 weeks. My dr restricted me from all weight training for 15 weeks. You'll do great! Lori

Still no armbike for me, but I did a lot of walking (well, for me, anyway!) at the doctor's office. It was a vigorous walk, and quite energizing. It felt good to get some exercise. I hate not being able to do my armbike -- in fact, I feel guilty about all the times in the past when I complained about the armbike! Kix

I had support group last night and that took up my entire evening, so no exercise for me last night!
