Gym is Open (Thursday)!

It's Thursday! I am still on armbike probation because of my PICC line, but I have to go see my Optifast counselor today, which means lots of walking at the clinic. It will be good exercise. What did you do to move your body today? Kix

Hi Kix, Thanks for posting! Well, due to my bad driving last night I was in a car accident. I pulled out in front of a brand new 2006 BMW with my brand new 2006 Toyota RAV4. Luckily I was not hurt. But, my drivers side door and back passenger door is smashed in. His airbag went off, mine did not. He did hit his brakes and didn't hit me as hard as he could of. Thank goodness, since it was my drivers side....well, I didn't make it to the gym last night or this morning because of it. My car is still drivable and they are ordering the parts so I will be driving around the wrecked car until next Tuesday then I'll have a rental. I'm definitely driving safely now! Lori

OMG! I'm glad you weren't hurt! Too bad about two new cars getting creamed, that's gotta hurt! Many years ago, I was driving my then brand-new Honda on the freeway when all of a sudden, the semi driving next to me decided to change lanes. I must have been in his blind spot, or he didn't look. Result? The side of his front wheel ran down the entire driver's side of my Honda, caving it in. The truck driver rushed over to see if I was OK, and I yelled at him, "You hit my new car!" I didn't even care about me. Please drive safely, we need you around here. Kix

thanks Kix...I'm driving very safely now...I'm afraid of driving...I have a long commute each day down a busy freeway with tons of accidents I see every day! Your life can be changed in an instant! I'm okay, this just woke me up!

Yes, it sure doesn't feel new anymore. Hopefully, when it is repaired, it will feel that way again. They are ordering parts for it. I will take it on Tuesday and drive a rental until it is fixed. Right now, it is a bit of a rattle trap. Lori

Thank God no one was injured. Dealing with the hassle of repairs and insurance is still a pain, though. Good luck!

Sure was a wake up call for me!
