i think i need someone to give me a good swift kick. two weeks ago i wrote about several issues --- and i'm still wallowing in my pity pot. so i'm kinda hoping i can get the wit and wisdom i've come to rely on from y'all cause i'm not sure how, but i've got to move on. has anyone else had issue on top of issue on top of issue after their surgery. not even related to the surgery as much as to the excess weight and just plain bad luck? i'am not looking for sympathy, here. more-a way to get over it and deal. YA KNOW? i've tried prayer - all i hear are echoes, and a slightly amused deity saying - I GAVE YOU BCK YOUR LIFE, BUT NEVER SAID IT WOULD BE EASY!!! i've tried inspirational reading - came across a couple good reads which made sense but refuse to 'stick'. i've tried exercise - probably overdid it. went walking/shopping for SEVEN HOURS last weekend and my feet and legs still hurt like he!!. dorthe

Hey Dorthe, All I can say is bless your heart. I know sometimes it seems like the old saying "when it rains it pours" or " it comes in threes" lol. But life is sure like that aint it? I am so sorry that you are going thru alot and I know somedays it seems more overwelming than others. But all I can say is try to hang in there. You have come so far in the WLS journey and I know that alone is enough to pull your hair out (I dont have to, mine is still falling out) but things will even out one day and im sure of that. You just need to have family and friends to talk to so can vent and cry and *&^% to them. Or heck, get on that motorcycle and ride like the wind.Lol.... Email me anytime if I can be of help. I have a huge body but my ear is also huge lol.... Hugs Marge

Big Hugs Dorthe! Hey, I still have to vote for exercise, but, sensible working up to it...it does help me. I am a person very prone to depression. I do take Prozac, this daily exercise seems to keep my brain in check most of the time. Not that I don't have my bad moments. Like my car accident this week. TGIF!!!! Lori

Hey, Dorthe! I know exactly how you feel, even though I haven't had surgery yet. It's like one bad gremlin stirs things up and then invites his gremlin friends to come kick your azz for awhile! It does get better. Exercise helps, and I wish I could do more of it. The way I feel today, I'd be much happier if I could just swim for about six hours straight. Kix
