Hello Everybody! It's been a while since I have posted, so I thought that I would share my progress with you. I started out at 465 pounds and I now weigh 243. My goal is 150 pounds, so I still have 93 pounds to go. Thanks for letting me share with you! I pray that the Lord will continue to bless you all in your WLS journey! Love, Cindy

Wow Cynthia. That is fantastic! Do you mind me asking how old you are? I have this theory about weight loss speed and being over 40.

Deb, Maybe I'm using this as an excuse, but, I feel once you are over 40 (in my case 45) and been through menopause, quick weight loss is much harder. Are you proving me wrong???? You've done so well....Me, I'm stuck. Lori 384/235.5/199

well, i've been trying to lose down to onederland for weeks and weeks now without success. as for your theory, i'm 49. had a hysterectomy 8 years ago removing everything except my ovaries, so i guess i've not yet experienced menopause...although i do think i've been having hot flashes the last few months! you know, i read all the time about muscle weighing more, etc...are you sure your exercise routine is not building lots of muscle and that's why the scale's not changing? deb

Deb, I hope it is just that. I've definitely built muscle. I've been doing a lot of research lately on revving up your metabolism. I recently had my metabolism (BMR-Basil Metabolic Rate) measured and it is quite slow. Even with all this exercise. I just have to keep on keeping on. I'm very happy with my new life, even if I haven't gotten under 235. I just whine about it from time to time. Especially, on Mondays, that is the day I weigh myself. That is the day I see the scale stuck once again. I'll be okay. You have done so great though. I hope somehow you make it to onderland. I think we all should! Hugs, Lori 384/235.5/199
