Has anyone had a breast cyst?

I have a breast cyst (diagnosed Dec 2004). I have had follow-up ultra sounds every 6 months and there were no changes with it and I was told after the 3rd one, they wouldn't look at it anymore. Just to come back for regular annual exams. Typically, it would become a little tender during my period. But nothing to bothersome. But in the past couple months, it has been more painful for about 2-3 weeks out of the month. I told my PCP, and she asked if I was drinking caffeine. I told her yes, I have tea and diet soda often. She said the amount I told her was enough to bother it, but that if cysts do become symptomatic they could be drained. I told her that I would cut out caffeine for a month and see how the pain is. Well, it was o.k. but now that my period is here it is extremely painful constantly, not the mild tenderness like before. I have been off caffeine completely for more than 2 weeks. I don't know if draining is an option is it's only a problem during my cycle. I hope it is... Anyone had a similar experience??? Sarah Margaret 502/462/288/A person I've never known

Sarah, I have 1 cyst that has never caused me a bit of problems since I found it. I found it 15 years ago and it has never changed a bit. Thankfully its never caused any pain or anything.. Hope you find some info soon! Amber
