Thank you Phyllis. Wow, 24 pounds in a month is great. I keep getting so worried about this because I absolutely must have my surgery by December- preferably before that, so I can have a little wiggle time in case I get a cold or something, and I read that 1 or 2 pounds a week is what to expect on average. That just throws me into a panic, LOL. I am staying away from the fat, so my gallbladder has been okay. It gives me a little pain once in a while, so I just pray it holds out until the surgery. I want so badly for this all to be over and just to begin my life again. I am stuck in limbo, and it is time to get a move on. I am going to work hard to stick to the plan and let what happens happen. Worrying so much about losing the weight on time has actually caused me not to lose the weight, LOL. It has been well over a year since I first made contact with my surgeon, and I don't even remembe when I last saw him, so he must think I am the slowest loser in history when it comes to pre-op loss. Thanks so much for your help. Take gentle care.

30lbs in 5 months doesn't seem like should be weight lose so quick that it would bother your gallbladder more...maybe your doctor could give you the medicine that many surgeons give post op patients. I can't remember the name right now...as mine was removed with my surgery. But it helps keep it from being a problem. You have to have your surgery by Dec. 31th or no more...ouch. Yeah, I would ask maybe your PCP for some advice...actigal...I think that's it. And as for the diet...if you are diabetic they should speak to you at least on that level, any nutritionist on the level of a diabectic patient...should be able to educate you on a proper diet...that's crazy...I have a 1200cal pre-op diet my surgeon's nut gave me. They have handouts. Did you surgeon say when you would need to have the weight lost in order to get a surgery date in Dec.? 10lbs a month might be doable, but I've been told 2 lbs a week is a healthy safe loss. Best wishes, Sarah
