FEELING BAD!

Hello to all, I guess im posting to whine today. So bare with me please lol... I have been dealing with some major pain in my lower stomach and private area. Well went to the dr Monday and they say I have a urinary trac infection. I had it about a lil over a week before I got in to see someone.So by the time I get there im really hurting and my stomach is swollen. Now the medicine they gave me to take for three days has not done jack. It was phenazopyrid. I got up this morning and first thing called. So guess they will want to see me or call me in somethng else. She asked what pharmacy did I use. I really dont know that much about medicine. I have always been very fortunate to be walking around being four hundred pounds for years and be healthy. So this is my first ailment since surgery and I have been tip top but im really just feeling sorry for myself today and hurting again. So I guess I wonder has anybody else had issues like this and what did you do to get better. Ive drank cranberry juice ugh and id rather drink battery acid lol.... But continue to drink it lol.... Sorry to hear your feeling bad Marge! I know that cranberry pills are better than cranberry juice, and you can get them at any health food store. I'm dealing with gallbladder problems right now, and may have to have surgery again, much sooner than I'd have ever thought! I find out more tomorrow at the DR. Feel better soon! Janet

Marge I'm sorry to hear your feeling bad. I haven't had any problems like that so I can't offer any advice. Although I have heard that cranberry pills help. My sister is constantly plagued with UTI's and I know how bad you must be hurting. I'm really sorry I sure hope you start feeling better soon..sending big healing hugs your way Jamie

Margaret and Janet... I am sorry both of you are struggling with pain and/or frustration. I have you both in my prayers and thoughts that the strength that got you so far from where you were to where you are now will once again show true for you through this. Donna

Marge, Ask your BS if you can take Azo-Standard or Azo-Gesic (they're over-the-counter)... it helps with the UTI pain. Beware though, it turns urine bright bright orange!!! I've used this once since WLS with no troubles, and it goes a LONG LONG way to getting you some quick relief while you're waiting on the antibiotics to work. Thank you all for the nice posts and all. I am through whining for the day now lol.. I have my new drugs lol.... They gave me cipro 500mg. So maybe this will knock it out. I was just feeling sorry for myself today I guess. I had taken the azo-standard last week and then the dr gave me this other prescription which is a step up of azo and no go. Just tired of the pain.... But saw my lil granddaughter today(2 1/2) and she always gets me in a good mood. She is so sweet (when she wants to be) lol... Thanks again.... Whining Marge

Morning, Marge ... my PCP prescribed the Azo in addition to the Cipro. He said it was what was going to decrease the discomfort. Hope you get feeling better soon ... UTIs can be so totally painful! All good thoughts your way. (((hugs))) Myra G
