Feeling BLARGH!

Tomorrow will be one week since I had WLS. I don't feel sick, but I don't feel 100% well, either. I just feel kind of BLARGH! Maybe my body will perk up when I move to stage 2 food tomorrow -- oh, boy! Runny Cream of Wheat! Thin creamed soups! Protein drinks! After almost two weeks of a full liquid diet, stage 2 sounds pretty darned tasty. Heck, even Optifast sounds pretty darned tasty right now! My sister came home from the market yesterday with donuts, chocolate chip cookies, licorice, and cashews (along with salad fixings, how weird is that?). I don't like glazed donuts, licorice, or cashews, so I could care less about those things. Chocolate chip cookies are like crack cocaine for me -- while I looked at them fondly, the thought of eating them doesn't appeal to me at all. Kix

blargh huh? Now that's just no good, no good at all. Of course I have no idea what blargh means, but I'm sure it isn't good I think your should feel as 'blarghy' as you want... after having your insides turned all around, I do believe you have every right to feel any way you want. Just imagine how you will feel a couple of months from now - much less blarghy I'm sure And those damn chocolate chip cookies are my downfall too - you would think they would make shakes like "chocolate chip cookie shake" or "apple pie shake" or "hershey kisses shake". That would be awesome! Yes, I'm a little slap happy today - this insomnia is making me a little wacky

after only one week out, that's probably about what we all felt. not bad, just not great. you just need to rest alot. and don't forget to thank your sister for helping you with developing stronger will power. or, you could do what i'd do if it were my sister - i b*%ch slap her and throw out the cookies, etc... anyway, hope you're feeling better soon. hugs dorthe

Kix: I'm glad everything went well for you............ I'm 15 months out & not one sweet thing bothers me as in "wanting or craving" except Choc. Chip cookies................fresh baked. Drives me nuts. You can eat anything in front of me EXCEPT that cookie. GO FIGURE. Hopefully you can get a handle on it!!! I just stay away. I have had 1 CC cookie in 15 months and don't plan on having another!! Carmella

Kix, Our support group leader always tells new post ops that the first 7 weeks feel like this. I think she is right. Hang in there. Each new food stage is a treat for sure! Big Hugs, Lori
