Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!
I knew this was too easy, I should have guessed that something would come up to cause me more stress. I found out today that my works retirement plan is reconsidering my payout for surgery because "most if the money was contributed by your work, not by you personally." Our operations guy was dumbfounded and said he would make it work no matter what. (he's a great guy) He did argue that the money is mine no matter what, it doesn't matter who contributes, so the plan administrator is going to check with their 403b expert. If this doesn't work out I don't know what I will do.
I now have these butterflies in my stomach and the waiting is killing me! Plus my eye just won't stop twitching again - happens everytime I get overly stressed.
If you guys think about it, could you throw some good thoughts and prayers my way - I'm just about on the verge of tears here and could use them
OK, we were supposed to be done with the twitching!
I didn't think about that possibility. When I was a federal gov employee, we could borrow on our TSP accounts (401K), but only up to the amount we had actually contributed. As a fed, our federal matching dollars didn't actually belong to us until we were vested.
Of course, don't let this discourage you. Your employer may have the 403b set up differently from the federal 401k plan. The fact that you have higher ups on your side will help. If not, we'll figure something out!
I'm still convinced everything will work out, so I'll be putting the CD in the mail in the next couple of days!
