OT, heading to the hurricaine

My trip to Florida is right in the path of the hurricaine! Of course you never know where they will hit. I would be deemed a sissy if I didn't go. LOL Besides my parents might need me. Not really, they have a generator and have the whole thing down to a science. They have a protocol for when to stay and when to evacuate. As long as my dad can make coffee on the gas grill I will be OK. One time here during a tropical storm, my DH ground beans with a rolling pin and made coffee on the grill. We are die hards. On top of this, I think I am trying to pass a kidney stone. Last night I seemed to have symptoms of an appendix attack, but today the mild pain has moved lower. I'll know soon enough if it is another kidney stone. Well, as usual my hope is the strom fizzles out and nobody gets it. Loris

Loris, Your heading into the storm?? Where are you heading?? If you are near the north east let me know.. Id love to meet up... Maybe have a protein drink, hit the gym, or just chat.. Thankfully the storm isnt going to give me a direct hit.. Although, neither did a few others that caused us a bunch of damage!! I do think this storm will be mild, maybe its just wishful thinking, but I dont feel like this one will be too bad!! Amber

Loris, I wish you were coming a week or 2 later! Then I would make the trip to see you! I have an appt with a plastic surgeon coming up so my travel plans have to bounce around those appts! Looks like the storm is going to be weaker and just hit the east coast of Florida! Yippee.. Im in Jacksonville, the northeast corner of Florida... They say it will JUST be a tropical storm when it gets to us.. They make it sound so minor! But since we havent had much rain this year and no storms until now, all the tree limbs from last year are still hanging around... Hopefully I can get someone out here to cut them down so I dont end up with them in my house again! The last tropical storm put part of a tree into my bedroom!!! Im just not feeling like dealing with all the rain, wind, and flooding!! Yippee.. And just think- we signed for another 3 years here!! Ohh JOY! Let me know the dates you will be there and maybe I can make the trip down to see you! I use any excuse I can to get out and go places!! Amber
