The PICC line is out (yay!), but I forgot that I'm not allowed to do any heavy lifting until I have my post-op checkup on Thursday. I can't lift the armbike up to the table. Darn! I think I'll ask the neighbor to come lift it for me tomorrow. I did get plenty of exercise, though. I've neglected the housework for two weeks and ugh, the house was filthy. Plenty of mopping, dusting, etc. to keep me moving today! Kix

Well I finally made it to almost 2 miles. Standing in one place makes my back hurt so bad. I have a Dr. appt in 2 weeks mabe she can pescribe somthing to take the edge off. My back has started hurting more and more, I'm wondering if the hanging skin has somthing to do with it. Tylonol just dont cut it anymore. Did anyone else have this problem. Donna

Yes Donna. I still struggle with lower back pain from the hanging belly skin. What I did when I was a new post op though that helped was I wore my abdominal binder they gave me at surgery every time I exercised. It took off the pressure. Now the thing is way too big for me! Lori

I couldn't go to the outdoor pool yesterday (rain). The indoor pool has been closed this week for annual maintenance (I hope the scrape out all the child cooties). Today we had more rain and I made a commitment to myself to start back up with seated aerobics. If I can't make it to the gym (because I'm going out at night, or because the weather won't permit), I'll do seated aerobics so that I'm working out six days a week. I need to do this. My weightloss is much better with more intense exercise. Today I did 45 minutes of seated aerobics. I did 600 upper body twists (in sets of 200), two sets of leg lifts (five minute intervals), two sets of leg lifts (also five minutes) and I stretched for five minutes before and after. I worked up such a sweat, I smelled like the kind of cheese even th French would refuse. Then I hit the shower Tomorrow, I hope to be back in the water. I'd rather swim half a mile and do another twenty minutes of weight training than the seated aerobics. It's convnient, but it wears me out.

Good for you Rebecca. Having a back up plan for exercise is a great idea!!!!

I did the usual 40 minutes on the elliptical trainer after work. I need to get back to lifting weights... Kellie 396/239/150-165?
