Wow, Wow, Wow!!!
Is it possible to have WOW moments before you have surgery? Because things have been happening to me that are just making me go WOW!!!
Since setting my surgery date I have had unbelievable reactions from people, all positive. I was expecting a lot more resistance, more negativity, but that hasn't happened. I've got more people coming to town for my surgery than I ever imagined, all just to support me. People offering to stay with me for a few days or drop by just to hang out during my recoup time. It's all just so overwhelming. I am so blessed.
But then today came the big kicker... I got a call from one of our pastors (I work at a church) and he is someone I confided in from the beginning. He will be praying with me before the surgery and then offered to pay for some of the surgery costs! He said he talked to his wife and they both felt they wanted to participate this way. Then, when I don't think it can get any better, I get a call from my mother and she tells me I need to get my mail. I find a letter in there with a big check from my aunt and uncle, saying they want to help with the surgery.
I'm just overwhelmed by all this - I never expected this reaction. Actually, I hadn't planned to tell too many people but it seems to be happening naturally and I'm so glad it has. What I might of missed if I had kept this to myself.
And then of course another WOW is everyone here, so a Big thanks to all of you for your continual support. It's a big reason why I am where I am today.
