Gym Is Open (Labor Day)
It is quite early. I woke up wishing the gym was open, but, alas, because it is a holiday, it is only open for 1 to 6 PM. When it gets light I am going to go for a long walk. Then, depending on what my day holds, I will probably go to the gym this afternoon.
I'm sitting here listening to the news that Steve Irwin, The Crocodile Hunter, was killed. It makes me very sad. He always seemed to have extreme joy for life. He did, die, however, doing something he loved. R.I.P. Steve!
What did you do to move your body today?

hi lori. i just wanted to say thank you. the inspiring way in which you've brought, and continue to bring, your journey to all of us is remarkable. i applaud your being able to see the need for and then seek out a weigh****chers group. and i'm sure it will help you along your way. the daily 'gym is open' postings are a great reminder and motivator for the rest of us. i, personally, am not able to do more than leg lifts and arm weights, but every time i see your daily postings it's a great reminder for me. for that i thank you.
have a great labor day.

Dorthe,
Thanks so much for the kind words. You guys inspire me as much as I do you!
Hey, only doing leg lifts and arm weights is still moving! I think it is important we all do what we can. I lost a big 1.5 lbs on my first week of Weigh****chers. I followed it perfectly...if I could only learn patience!
Big hugs to you!
Lori
I heard the news about Steve Irwin late last night as I was going to bed -- there was a news bulletin saying he had died in an accident, but that they didn't have any details at the time. Of course, I've heard the details, and all I can think is that it must have been his time to go because it's so rare to have a fatal stingray injury.
As for exercise, I did 1/3 mile on the armbike. The weather is glorious here today, which made me wish I was fit enough to do something outside all day such as hike, or ride a bike, or just go for one of Lori's long walks!
We did go for a car ride, which I enjoyed a lot.
