I went back to the gym today for the first time since surgery. I did 1 mile on the treadmill (in about 25 min., but I did use an incline) and then 3 reps of ten on the tricep press machine and 3 reps of 10 on the arm curl machine. jacie

Jacie, Be careful doing any lifting until you are 12 weeks out. You might get a hernia. The walking is very good for you though! The main thing is, you are exercising! good for you! Lori

I havent walked alot in the last couple of weeks. I have been too busy. Painting on my trailer. And doing yard sales and things for the labor day weekend. My legs are sore from squating while painting the bottom of the trailer, the underpinning. But it is looking good. It is about 40 yrs old and has never been painted so it was way over do. I have been using my springs for muscle building. and have done my pilates a few times. And I jump rope once in awhile. I have no certain routine. just do whatever as I find time. One of these days I want to invest in a pedometer to see how much I walk. And maybe someday I will be able to walk a 5k as soon as I figure out where they do them out around here so far I havent found nothing. love ya marie

Marie, Getting a pedometer is a good idea. You can get a good one for about $20. You'll be pleasantly surprised I bet! Sounds like you are doing great! Lori

Hi Lori, Saturday I walked two miles outside. I went dancing with one of my wls friends and our hubbies. We did a little dancing. We had a great time. Sunday I walked two miles outside. I don't feel 100%. I ate some sugar free candy and feel like I have a bunch of gas in my tummy. I've been tooting but I still feel funny. I just chewed a rolaids. Take care. Hope your blister is better. Diana

Diana, Sorry to hear about your sugar free candy experience. It does it to me too. If I really eat a small amount I'm okay, but, no, not me, I eat too much then I'm quite sick! The dancing sounds great! Lori
