and thrilled to be here! I was beginning to think that they would never let me leave - I had no complications but did have an allergic reaction to some of the meds they gave me. I looked pretty wild, a red blotchy face and hives all over me, trying to itch every part of my body all at the same time! It was pretty miserable, but I had WONDERFUL nurses who gave me exceptional care and shot me up with Benadryl a lot. I didn't sleep much, I kept having to run to the bathroom to pee. So, I got lots of exercise just from those trips! I kept freaking out the nurses though... I would have to unplug my entire IV/Oxygen machine to go and whoever monitors those would call the nurses station and alert them to my lack of oxygen output - I just could not wait for the nurse, I really had to go! I found out yesterday that I kind of freaked out with the anesthesiologist - they were having problems with my veins and so were only able to get a small one in so that I would at least be mellow, but it backfired. I wigged completely and they had to sedate me twice before they could get a good IV in me. I don't remember any of it, but I guess I was a little more concerned about the surgery that I thought I was. I have no idea what I said, but I hope it wasn't rude or mean! Thanks everyone for your good thoughts during the surgery - I'm tired but doing pretty well. I can't wait to get this drain out though, sometime this week hopefully. Writing this just wore me out, so I'm off to take a nap

welcome home and to the losing side. Glad to hear you are doing well. I am sure those anesthesiologist have heard and seen a lot. I know when I was coming out my surgeon said I was complaining that I shouldnt have done this. I hate being put under, it is so hard to get back to feeling not drugged. And he thought I meet the surgery itself. I have never regreetted that. Good luck love marie

All that Benadryl and you still couldn't sleep? My goodness! If I had known you were going to make a spectacle of yourself, I'd have come to the hospital with you (and brought my video camera) Seriously, I'm glad you're home, and don't worry about any you might have said to the anesthesiologist, I'm sure he's heard it all.
