0 to 120mph in 4 seconds! What a thrill

Today I met a personal goal I had hoped to accomplish before the end of summer! I had the best Roller Coaster experience EVER! Top Thrill Dragster, located in Sandusky, Ohio at Cedar Point, goes from 0 to 120mph in 4 seconds taking you STRAIGHT UP at a 90 degree angle (with a twist at the top for good measure) 420 feet and then back down again. It was AWESOME! The best part was that the park was not busy at all and we only waited 20 minutes to ride it. During peak season, the wait can be upwards of 2 hours or more! Dan, I havent been to Cedar Point in years!! When I lived in MI we used to go down a couple times a year.. They always had the best rides! Your making me almost jealous, I would love to go again.. But I think Ill keep my butt in the south where we dont get SNOW!!! Its a good trade off for me! Have fun.. Amber

Hi Amber, I agree, that would be a great trade off. However, since I am making up for lost time on the coasters, I will deal with what ever winter throws my way!! lol If it has been a few years, you should try to make it out for a visit.. The addition of the rides in the last couple of years has been awesome and you would not be disappointed! ~Dan B.

Dan! I am so happy for you. I, too, have a goal of riding roller coasters again. And the place I want to go, and plan to next summer, is Cedar Point. I love roller coasters. The morning after my consult with the surgeon this past November, the Discovery Channel was showing the top ten coasters in the world and a number of them were at Cedar Point. My parents think I am crazy because I was so pumped about the rides, but I don't care. lol. I hope you get to go back this weekend. Heather 377.5/292/150

Thank you for the response Heather. You have made such progress already, you will be there riding next year without a worry or care! I did make it back out on Sunday to ride it again.. Only a ten minute wait this time!! It was just as good the second time around.. I think I actually enjoyed it more the second time. I was able to keep my hands up, unlike in the picture where I was holding on for dear life on the way down! Oh, forgot to mention ~ You said your parents think your crazy about being pumped about the rides? I have to share what my neighbors daughter said to me a couple of weeks ago when we went over with them.. I said that I wanted to ride MaXair and then her and her friend could ride what they wanted because it was kids choice.. She looked at me and said, well you can ride what you want too because you act like a big kid when you are over here (at Cedar Point)!! I never laughed so hard.. Bad part is ~ she is right.. I am like a kid when going over there.. doesn't matter how many times I have been over there this summer (more than 20 by the way), I just get excited now that I can ride!!!! Ride On~ Dan B.
