10 k for me
Can you believe that I did a 10k yesterday? I feel really good about that. It was a walk for daibetes awareness. I kept up a nice pace for the duration of the walk. I am already looking for the next event.I would have NEVER even imagined that I would be doing anything like this EVER. I even felt so good after the walk that I washed my own car and did laundry
And I got up today ready to go. I love that this sugrery has given me back parts of me that I had lost.

I am not too sure if they are doing one in my area or not. Maybe I'll go over to the main board and check it out. If they are having one I would definately go for it. I started to quit at the 5k point. I just wanted to see if I could do it. I did it with out a problem. I am not sure if Iam ready fpr anything longer than that yet though. I'll have to work my way up to that.

Hi Kwheen,
Sorry this is a little late in coming, but I just wanted to congratulate you on your 10K. It is kind of addicting, don't you think? So far this summer, I have done a 5K, an 8K, and a 10K, and I am doing my last "official" 5K of the year on October 7th. Of course I will still continue to run during the winter, but I don't know of too many outdoor runs or walks during the winter in ND. You're doing a great job; what an accomplishment! Keep up the hard work and continue to enjoy your new self and your new life.
Take Care,
Tanja
No apologies needed. Wow you have been busy with the walks yurself. I am going to do the walk for obesity this sat. I do feel as this is addicting. Which is kinda
. This is my first year participating in any walks. I do look forward to doing many more in the near future. Since the weather here is pretty nice all year around I am going to be looking for me. I have not quite made it to the running stage yet but, that is what I am looking forward to trying next. How did you start getting yourself ready for running?
