Oh, my gosh! OW! OW! OW!
This is my third try eating chicken. First try was OK. Second time, not. I figured I would poach a chicken breast in broth in order to keep it nice and moist.
It was nice and moist, but my pouch didn't like it, and told me so in very noisy and painful ways.
I spent a half-hour trying to hork, but the chicken didn't come back up.
I think things have calmed down now, but I don't think I will be eating chicken again for a very long time. Back to runny tuna and cheese sticks for me.

hey kix!
sorry to hear chicken is giving you so much trouble. you might try the canned chicken -- i had great success with it. i ate a little can of it for lunch at work everyday for about 7 months! sometimes i mixed in a little ranch salad dressing...sometimes plain. anyhow, might be worth a try.
good luck!

Kix,
Have you tried Papaya enzyme? For me it works great. If something makes my pouch hurt, I chew 3 of those (they taste good too) and they go down and help speed digestion of the offending item. I've never been able to throw up, so this has been my rescue pills. I haven't needed them in many months now though. They are also pretty inexpensive.
Hugs,
Lori
Lori, thanks for the suggestion. I will get some tomorrow!
I'm amazed that people can
so easily -- I tried like anything, including practically shoving my entire hand down my throat -- and nothing happened.
I'm trying not to let my experiences with chicken put me off all meat; even so, I decided to play it safe and have a Boca Burger for lunch today. It's the grilled vegie flavor, though, not one of my favorites.
