Hi guys...I am doing so much this weekend, first time I've had a chance to post. I walked 5 miles on the canal road by my house yesterday. It took about 1 hr and 45 minutes. I was tired when I got back, but, it was so nice. I love communing with nature, the ducks, the dogs, etc. Today, I'm not sure what I'll do as I'm busy from now until after 5:30 pm, both gyms I'm associated with are not open on Sundays after 5...maybe I'll come come and do some pilates...I haven't done that in awhile. What have you done to move your body this weekend? Lori

time for me to start joining this thread for awhile. yesterday i did THREE FRICKIN MINUTES on my new-to-me ellyptical. today i'm shooting for FOUR. also walked the grocery store. swept out the garage. did four loads of laundry downstairs - which means i did the stairs in my house at least five times. i scrubbed the bathroom and kitchen floors. and, oh yeah, managed to stay upbeat in spite of a quarrel with both child and hubby. i figure mental and physical go hand in hand. have a great week. dorthe

Well, let's see... yesterday, I went to my HMO to order my bifocals. Bifocals are expensive! Anyway, I was able to walk from the parking lot to the optical shop without having to stop and rest in the lobby. This is a new development, and a bit of a WOW. I also did some leg strengthening exercises. I probably won't take a short walk today, but I will do leg exercises. I plan to help with some painting we need to do today -- I'll do the bits that I can reach from a sitting position. It's nice to feel useful every once in a while! I'm on Medicare because I'm disabled, and I read in my HMO newsletter that they offer a basic health club benefit at no charge to Medicare members. I do believe I will check this out now that I'm not so fat that I'd break the machines. Kix PS: Lori, thanks for the heads up on the papaya enzyme tablets. My dinner sat kind of hard last night, so I chewed three papaya enzyme tablets and felt 100% better!

Kix, Glad the papaya enzyme tablets worked for you. I actually had to resort to them myself this weekend, first time in months. I was eating some too dry turkey that didn't sit well. I think it sounds like a great idea to try and take advantage of the basic health club benefit. But, start out slowly. Just like everything else! Hugs, Lori
